Oh boy. Thanks to those among us that have a peanut allergy, everyone else has to have a crappy Halloween. That’s what it means to be a sensitive, “responsible†American these days.
Here’s the sign asking parents to only hand out carrot sticks, raisins and other boring treats:

Let the other kids enjoy their candy.

Considering some of the brats who came across my porch today - one shouting “Push and Shove!” - I wish I had turnips to give out to the little creeps instead of Mars Bars.

Interestingly, I don’t know how many teenage girls said they had allergies today while shoving through my stash looking for candy they preferred. Next year, they’re all getting 45 cent lollypops.
I live way out in the country so don’t have any trick or treaters.
When I was a kid, I wouldn’t have minded getting those little boxes of raisins but would not want raw vegetables.
I found a Heath bar in one of my kid’s bags. IMO they are even more dangerous than Twix. I eliminated the threat immediately. Lucky boy.
I have two kids with food allergies (one of them real bad), and my wife and I did the same thing. My wife made them some “safe” rice crispy treats, so they still got something yummy. Plenty of candy here!

If my kid couldn’t go trick or treating because of some sort of allergy, we’d just find something else to do. It not like there aren’t dozens of other options.

My cousin has a severe peanut allergy..but his parents look through the candy bag after he goes trick or treating to make sure he can have everything in the bag. They would NEVER demand parents hand out carrots LOL really, would someone eat a carrot from some strangers house
