Oh boy. Thanks to those among us that have a peanut allergy, everyone else has to have a crappy Halloween. That’s what it means to be a sensitive, “responsible” American these days.

Here’s the sign asking parents to only hand out carrot sticks, raisins and other boring treats:

The little monsters are getting chocolate eyeballs at the Dynachrome mansion.

Speaking as a parent of a child with severe food allergies including nuts, I find its just easier to be a responsible parent and go through my kid’s candy afterwards. Then I remove what he can’t eat as well as all of the Twix bars which I eat myself.... to protect him..... from something or another....

Such a common sense approach may soon be outlawed.

I know someone who gives out toothbrushes. The kids actually ask every year if they’re going to get a toothbrush. They like it.

If the kids stop by John Kerry’s house, Teresa can hand out her raisins soaked in gin.

You do it right instead of spoiling all the fun for the rest of the kids.

Screw that. I’m sick of this sh!t. If you don’t want to participate in T&T....DONT’T! Stop trying to make everyone else to ‘conform’. Seriously......SCREW YOU!

Carror sticks are not wrapped at the factory. Just like with the apples, an Exacto blade could fit nicely in one.

I would respond by putting out a sign that says “How about I hand out nothing”.

Thank you! I have one witb a peanut allergy (non-threatening) and we do the same. He’s old enough now to make those choices. I don’t care who gives what ‘treats’. It’s about the ‘giving’.

I feel sorry for the kids of today.

No freedom and carrot sticks. And let us not forget that Jack-o-lanterns cause global warming.

Sorry kids. (:

None of my six kids had food allergies and we still went though their candy bags just to check them for open packages and any strange items...

That's the normal thing a parent would do, not try and make my neighbors CONFORM to my child's special needs...

Those Twix bars are really dangerous. You can never be too careful protecting the kids from them.

We have given various types of flashlights out for years. The kids call us the flashlight house. They love them. I meant to trade a couple for some candy from one of the older kids and forgot to do it.

This year’s were pretty neat and we have about 20 left over. I keep flashlights everywhere.

I order them as samples from some vendors I deal with. So it works out pretty well.

Even a half century ago, the first thing we did was throw out anything not factory packaged. Homemade treats and fresh fruits and vegetables went straight in the garbage can.

These parents probably need a visit from CPS and some parenting skills training.
