NY College Creates System to Report Microaggressions, Sue Aggressors

Ithaca College Student Government Association is creating an online system which it claims will give students the ability to “report microaggressions.” It believes the action will “make Ithaca College a safer, more inclusive and diverse community for all students.”

The system will be online and will fill the needs of students, the Student Government Association believes. It will also be anonymous.

However, Kyle James, vice president of communications and co-sponsor of the bill, states that if a student who has been subject to microaggression wants to sue the “aggressor,” they’ll have to “reveal their identity.”

The system will also track who is reporting the microaggression and how they believe they were insulted.

Junior Elijah Breton, senator for the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance, supports the bill, saying, “Just like any other resolution that we want to pass with microaggression and diversity in the institution, what it does is it helps to make people think a little more before they do or say something.”

Sophomore Joshua Kelly, senator-at-large, was the only vote in the Student Government against the bill. He said he was dismayed at talk of suing people over microaggressions.

“microagression”?

Sounds to me like they’re going after free speech. Say what we approve, disagreement is aggression. And aggression is actionable.

Only a liberal douche could even come up with a term like micro-aggresion.

A liberal named Massengill, no doubt.

Holy sh*t.

What freaking morons.

Cisgender and cissexual (often abbreviated to simply cis) describe related types of gender identity where individuals’ experiences of their own gender match the sex they were assigned at birth.[1] Sociologists Kristen Schilt and Laurel Westbrook define cisgender as a label for “individuals who have a match between the gender they were assigned at birth, their bodies, and their personal identity” as a complement to transgender.

Anyone who pretends that has meaning should be locked up in a rubber room for about 40 years.

What this will do is lead to many students refusing to talk to other students they don’t know well. Liberal fascism at its worst (best?).

I wonder which of the following comments would be considered "microaggression":

I don't like Obama.
I oppose gay marriage.
Christianity is superstition.
Jesus was an illegitimate child.
The Koran encourages Muslims to kill infidels.
Ted Cruz is a fascist.
Barack Obama is a fascist.
George Bush was a racist.
Jews control the media.
George Bush's father was a Nazi sympathizer.
Barack Obama is a Muslim.
George Bush had advance knowledge of the 9/11 attacks.
Homosexuality is a choice.
World War II was an inevitable result of capitalism.
Nazism was a Christian movement.
The Holocaust never happened.
The bombing of Hiroshima was justified.
The bombing of Hiroshima was not justified.
Illegal aliens should be deported.
Illegal aliens should be allowed citizenship and the right to vote.
Voter ID laws are racist.
Voter ID laws help to prevent voter fraud.
The federal tax code is too complicated.
The federal tax code - although imperfect - represents a broad consensus of bi-partisan thinking.
Businesses who refuse to service gay weddings should be prosecuted.
Businesses have the right not to serve gay weddings.
Michael Brown was a criminal who died resisting legitimate public authority.
Michael Brown was the victim of racist policing.
Michael Brown had his hands up.
Michael Brown did not have his hands up.
The Palestinians have many legitimate grievances.
Most of Israel's actions against the Palestinians have been justified.
The Catholic Church always supports despotism.
The Spanish Inquisition killed 10 million witches.

You could provide SOME evidence in support of most of these propositions, yet some of these propositions are mutually exclusive. A few are patent nonsense, and some are moral views that cannot be resolved through some universally accepted criterion of truth. But I wonder which of these propositions would generate claims of "microaggression," and which wouldn't. And which claims would be upheld, and which wouldn't.

The way it works is that each topic in your list must be reviewed by The Group. Depending on what The Group decides For The Good Of The Community, each topic will be judged Offensive, or Acceptable.

If, in response to any of these judgements, no matter what they are, you sigh, roll your eyes, fidget, or in any way respond without a big smile, head nodding and wide open eyes - then you are committing microaggression.

By George, I think he found it.

Now look up ‘affirmative consent’ and ‘continuous affirmative consent’
