Scott Walker Calls for RNC Member Who Shared a White Supremacist Article on Facebook to Resign
Slate ^ | January 14, 2015 | Betsy Woodruff

Scott Walker, the Republican governor of Wisconsin, is calling for a member of the Republican National Committee to step down from his post.

A Michigan newspaper, the Morning Sun, is reporting that Walker, a likely 2016 presidential contender, has said Michigan committeeman Dave Agema should resign.

“Dave Agema’s abhorrent comments have no place in our party,” said Walker, per the paper. “I join Chairman Priebus and others in calling on him to resign.”

Agema, a former member of the Michigan House, has been a headache to national Republicans for years. He’s posted material on social media saying that Muslims don’t contribute to society, that gays are “filthy,” and, just last month, that black people are largely illiterate. There’s more here on his Facebook screeds and background in Michigan Republican politics.

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus called last year for him to step down, and the RNC has long held that it’s done everything it can to muscle Agema out. But some conservatives believe the committee could do more.........

It could also put pressure on the Romneys. Mitt Romney, who will speak at the winter meeting, hasn’t called for Agema to step down. Neither has his niece, Ronna Romney McDaniel, who is the committeewoman for Michigan.

Sorry, Scott, but this won’t get you the black vote. Nothing will.

From what I can gather, he reposted a letter and comments from Col. West’s blog. West was criticizing the letter. Dave Agema agreed with West’s comments. The media them published some quotes from the letter and attributed them to Dave.

Muslims don’t contribute to society, ... gays are “filthy,” and ... black people are largely illiterate.

This is just ridiculous. Muslims are filthy too.

Will he also call for anyone who posts a black supremicist article to resign as well?

He’s doing the right thing. It doesn’t matter if he gets the black vote (and he won’t).

From a strictly practical view, he will not alienate the great middle, who might otherwise be susceptible to voting their own racist way as they probably did with Obama.

The GOP doesn't need this guy. But are we really to believe that there is no way for the RNC to get rid of him? Really? Is membership on the RNC like a lifetime tenure? Please.

Shared a white supremacist article? Have any of us ever shared something with which we do not necessarily agree, to point out the fallacies, or to start a discussion? Has to be more than that. Oh, I see...dissed the homosexuals...

Truth- It’s the new hate speech.

Scott Walker stop being an idiot the guy just read Col West’s information and commented on it and now Walker has his panties in a bunch. The Republicans will just fight and fight making it possible for the democrats to win because each one wants to be in charge and each Republican does not want to have the balls and backbone to finally say enough to the Progressive Era. Unfortunately the democrat will suceed because the republicans are just a bunch of jackasses in elephant suits

He doesn’t need to say a word until he is asked directly about it.

It looks like another RINO pile on and Walker trying to bully everyone in the midwest GOP to make his run as smooth as possible.

This looks like Walker needs to be hired to bully Agema, because Priebus has no standing with conservatives.

The same way Rand is recruited to push amnesty by Norquist.

Unfortunately (and surprisingly), Col. West was not criticizing the letter. The letter may make a decent point or two, but Col. West (and this Agema guy) really ought to know better than to start posting stuff from AmRen.
