Bateman can join his pal Mikey Weinstein (Obama’s military sodomite Czar) and be among the remaining military leaders with the dubious distinction of TRIPLING OUR CASUALTY RATES, purging capable & able conservative military leaders and getting in line to kiss the ring of Obama I, which is located in his back pocket.
Some of us still remember our military training and oath to the Constitution – Bateman apparently had his fingers crossed when he took his. Bateman belonga in the same dumpster along with the Muslim and leftist political trash.
What a disgrace to the uniform and an even greater disgrace as a human being.
Many upper level officers are just like this guy. They will follow orders, no matter what those orders are.
I have been telling people this for years. Few here want to believe me, but if the FedGov told the US Military to go kill US civilians, a large majority will say “Yes Sir!” and do so.

Like an unpaid state militia, unorganized? We have the South Carolina State Guard. Strictly volunteer, mostly military retirees, they do good work but their uniform insignia are designed to make them separate & distinct from the National Guard, Army Reserve, or active component personnel.

The National Guard *is* a branch of the US Army- a reserve component, just like the Army Reserve. The difference between them is that the Guard’s mission is primarily for it’s state.

Obviously this guy has no intention of taking guns from violent criminals. Just from non-violent, law-abiding innocent hard-working people.

Not satisfied with us turning our guns in, he wants us to turn them into another object. If every gun gets turned into a police department, there will be enough police departments for everyone to have their own. He probably meant your weapons must be turned in to the local police department, but he's not smart enough to know the difference.
There's a logistics problem with that. Armed deer hunters outnumber our military more than 20:1.
And if you think about it, all the military might the west could bring to bear didn't make that much difference in Afghanistan. The savages over there are still armed to the teeth.
