There are several branches of the military. Active, Reserve, National Guard, and State Guard. State Guard is the only branch not under control of the pRESIDENT.
Their largest and most effective platform for propagandizing future voters is?.......( drumroll) ....SCHOOLS!
Nearly every teacher in this nation was trained by godless Marxists in Marxist-run colleges and universities. This is true for both private and government schools.

The Lieutenant Colonel Robert Bateman who wrote the Esquire article is who he purports to be, an active duty Army officer currently serving in the D.C. area. He is a prolific author, pundit, blog contributor, and general all around blowhard. He imagines himself a great intellectual. He is not a commander of anything and probably has not been since his days as a company commander many years ago. In other words, a staff weenie who served a tour in Iraq, probably on someone’s staff.
Colonel Robert Bateman, New York Guard, is a completely different person. He’s a wannabe who did not write the Esquire article and is not a commissioned officer in either the United States Army or the Army National Guard.
A simple Google search will turn up multiple mentions of both, including pictures. Anyone with half a brain can figure out that the two are not the same. But this simple step is apparently beyond the reach of the simpletons who keep making fools of themselves conflating the two on this forum. When one is busy proving himself to be an idiot, reading the articles, following the threads, and doing a few minutes of checking is not required.
Not normally, no. It’s officers are still commissioned Army officers, though.

You got that right. Since the "folk" ("das amerikanische Volk," if you will) need - and have a RIGHT to - food and its means of production, farms will be seized outright with no real intention compensation. History has more than enough examples of the tender mercies of an einsatzgruppe (led or at least directed by men like the colonel here) "pacifying" rural areas for the common good.
He has stated up front what he intends, and we all need to understand that he looks forward to such tasks.

See #27. centurion316 is correct, there are two (or three) Batemans, and the one who wrote the Esquire article is a LTC in the US Army. The poseur in the NY Guard is a different person.

Any efforts toward the anti-2nd Amendment desires excreted from the perverted bowels of Lt. Col. Robert Bateman would give aid and comfort to the enemy.
Lt. Col. Robert Bateman is a Tokyo Rose within the U.S. military. Bateman should be court-martialed along with his commanding officer for dereliction of duty in not already having Bateman court-martialed.
As for upper level officers, I’m sure many here in FR are aware that Obama has been purging the upper levels to replace with his preferred officers. Scary stuff.
Nossir, you are wrong about that. There was a big dustup at West Point that I was witness to, on just this issue.
