Vanity, sorry. My youngest, a FEMALE, whom has always been a FEMALE, with a Birth Certificate, valid SS number, and has been declared on taxes for 18 years as a FEMALE, recieved a threatening letter from Selective Service ordering her under threat of Prosecution, to make a copy of her BIRTH CERTIFICATE and send it in within 10 Days.
My other daughter, did NOT receive this kind of harassment which does NOT happen to Illegal Immigrants even though they are required to register.

Would they have to? According to some of the stories I’ve read on this forum, all you have to do is “self identify” as being male/female.
I wonder: If you were born a male, can you self identify as a female to avoid the the draft?

I told my kid to send a pic or a scan of the envelope, letter and return envelope. Of course it uses the real director’s name but I get numerous scam emails from: the director of the FBI, Janet Nappy, and other pols.

My husband called Selective services when we got the second letter and did speak to someone. We were told we had to register our son, regardless of his medical condition. Good idea to verify first the request for a copy of the B.C. i would think if they send out letters to those who have turned 18, it’s because they already have that info.

Now, I did turn myself in for speaking ill of obamacare a few years ago. lol
In all seriousness, this has my kid spooked. She’s afraid she will be prosecuted for (as in the words of a previous poster) not registering which she is NOT required to do in the first place.

I just called this number to the Selective Service office.

Not knowing details it could be that your daughter applied for some college stuff and the college punched her in as mail. He told me that there is no scams that he knows of.
