Vanity, sorry. My youngest, a FEMALE, whom has always been a FEMALE, with a Birth Certificate, valid SS number, and has been declared on taxes for 18 years as a FEMALE, recieved a threatening letter from Selective Service ordering her under threat of Prosecution, to make a copy of her BIRTH CERTIFICATE and send it in within 10 Days.
My other daughter, did NOT receive this kind of harassment which does NOT happen to Illegal Immigrants even though they are required to register.

The link above is to register online. My son did this when he turned 18. There is no birth cert involved. What was received has to be a scam.
I agree, but damn, Illegal Immigrants are supposed to comply and they don’t and will get away with not complying. American Citizens and Legal Residents are harassed.

Fortunately I have the Cert, and I’m not sending it in until I speak with a spook from Selective Service. They aren’t answering their phones, and you can’t leave a message. I sent an email and left a “message” with my other Senator’s office.

My special needs son has received 2 letters from selective services, neither letter requested a copy of his birth certificate.

My sister’s birth certificate has disappeared from the data base in NJ. She misplaced her only copy and requested a new copy from the state and received the reply that the state could not find her birth certificate and that it must have been misfiled.
Just shows AGAIN our government can’t do a damn thing right.

All I can say is the the Selective Service operates an imperfect system. My son registered on his 18th birthday — took off work to do it. On his 20th birthday he received a letter like yours threatening him because he had not registered. A phone call fixed it.
Another friend of mine is a twin. He and his brother had the same names, except reversed. Frank Edwin Xxxx and Edwin Frank Xxxx. One was drafted for the Korean War and the other was never called.
Thank you. I’m not sure whether it is a cert copy, or photo copy, (she read me part of the letter) but I am not (considering this govt’s spying) sending anything until I speak to someone in a position at that “agency”. We’ll see if my other Senator will respond (aide that deals with that agency).

I agree. Why should my kid have to send in her Birth Cert when “the One” posts a junk one on the internet?
Don’t send in a copy of her birth certificate unless you want her to be registered to vote (as a Democrat) in all 57 states.
That whole gender thing is not nearly nuanced enough.
