Feinstein's Gun Control Bill Will Trigger The Next American Revolution
Zero Hedge ^ | December 28, 2012 | Brandon Smith

...Revolution? Yes, it all sounds rather “extreme”, but the cold hard reality of our era is not going to comfort us with diplomacies and niceties, so honestly, why should I have to sugar coat anything? We live in extreme times and there is no longer room for prancing around the ultimate consequences of that which is taking place in America today. This country is increasingly sliding towards the edge of internal conflict. The Liberty Movement and true Constitutionalists see it, subsections of Republicans and Democrats see it, and most of all, the federal government sees it. In fact, they may even be counting on it...

Lots of tough talk and false bravado being posted; none of it has any relation to reality.

Our politicians, ESPECIALLY the POTUS, have given us any number of justifiable reasons to commit civil disobediance or have Civil War, the Sequel. But, NOTHING has happened. We are addicted to the ballot box and believe that all things can be fixed in the next election.

And, yet, NOTHING gets fixed and things get worse. Why? Because, like the dutiful, mind-numbed robots that we are, each election cycle we go to our polling place and re-lect the same RINOs and moderates who got us in a pickle in the first place! Then, we sit around on our keyboards b!tching about the choices we made. The very definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result! So, what are WE doing different??

Based on past history, if Obama sends the military to our doors to collect our guns and ammo (remember how he wanted to have the authority for the military to arrest Americans on American soil a few months ago? This is why!), we will meekly hand them over because “we’re going to fix this in the next election!”.

There have been justifications after justifications for us to take some form of action against our intrusive, corrupt, bloated and illegal government. But, we do nothing except come to FR and complain.

So, at the end of the day, all of this chest pounding and saber rattling amounts to “sound and fury signifying nothing”! It’s one thing to sit at our keyboards in the comfort of our homes sounding off. It’s quite another facing reality smack dab in the face with a burly Army or Marine Sergeant standing at our door with orders to confiscate our guns.

If none of us are willing to secede or become the catalyst that sparks the next civil war, then we all need to do what we do best - shut up and bend over. Many years ago, I went to war to free a foreign country from the “scourge of communism.” Because our government wasn’t committed to a particular end game, we wasted our opportunities and slaughtered tens of thousands of young American men. I went because my government told me to go but I didn’t really care if those people got free of their aggressors or not because they didn’t care.

But, America is a different deal. I WILL willingly give my life, if that’s what it takes to restore this country to the land of freedom, liberty, exceptionalism, small government and individualism that the Founding Fathers created; because America HAS been the beacon of freedom in the world for over 200 years. Today, we are on the verge of becoming just one more third-world craphole.

So now, what are our choices? Either taking action to restore our country, or sitting at our keyboards making empty threats, complaining and waiting for the next election so we can “fix” things. Take your pick.

that’s just silly.
private citizens don’t have even close to
the military capabilities of Iran’s military.

Hellfires aren’t working in Crapholistan either. They won’t need them. 15 police men, one house at at time will do the trick. A few of those and we’ll be falling over ourselves to turn our weapons in.

DHS may be down with confiscation because a lot are Holders people. The military is not really keen on taking on an armed populace especially their own. I’m certain that there will be “warnings” to family and friends.

It was said at the signing of the Declaration of Independence and it still holds true today.

Because the legal argument over the “interpretation” of the 2nd Amendment is essentially over...

Not true. The "interpretation" of "the right of the people to keep and bear arms" is yet to be over. The limits of "the right" have not been "interpreted". Note that "the right of the people to vote" (Amendment IV), using the same phrasing, has limits.

Actually, the libs and their band of idiot friends will get something out of this. Probably renewal of the last idiotic ‘assault weapons’ band.

What pisses me off the most is that this tactic ALWAYS works and why the hell didn't we use it when we had the Senate, House, and Presidency?

I mean it is really pretty simple. Decide what you want, ask for ten times as much, and then ‘compromise’ to what you wanted in the beginning. The idiot Republicans go in asking for what they ACTUALLY want, and then compromise for half of it. Just plain stupid.

I hear ya... IMO, we're still a ways from a hot war these progressive seem to want. Let's use the time to our advantage to organize, raise hell and prepare. They have to maintain a status quo and expend energies and resources trying to get gun owners/independents to act, that they may put years of planning into action.

The longer we can postpone the inevitable, the more likely progressives will slip up and expose their agenda and illegal actions taken for all the world to see.

We strengthen our hand by organizing, raising hell, and making preparations, while being patient until forced to play their game.

Guerrilla warfare still works. Death of a thousand cuts. Private citizens will be in their own neighborhoods and can pick and choose when they will create chaos and mayhem.

We have a bunch of ex military who can organize and knows all the tricks of inflicting maximum carnage.

Except for the “shall not be infringed” part.

No other Amendment has that wording.

BTW, the right to vote was the 26th, not the 4th Amendment.

I’d bet on the red.

Indeed! I seem to recall and ol' battle flag that used quite a bit of red fabric. ;)
