The Obama Administrations Department of Justice informed House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) that it would not honor any request for enforcement of its finding that Attorney General Eric Holder is in contempt of Congress for his refusal to hand over copies of DOJ correspondence.
The Presidents declaration of Executive Privilege has already ruled that Congress is not entitled to these documents, Deputy Attorney General James Cole asserted. This preemptively exonerates Attorney General Holder and vetoes any action Mr. Boehner might contemplate taking in his effort to obtain this information.
Cole called Congress efforts to secure DOJ correspondence on Operation Fast and Furious a clear violation of the Constitutions protection against self-incrimination. Under the Fifth Amendment no one may be compelled to testify against himself. Just because the President has acted to shield the Attorney General from having to invoke his right against self-incrimination doesnt mean that it doesnt exist.
In related news, Attorney General Holder told a federal court that Texas GovernorRickPerrys claim of executive privilege in a case concerning voter ID is invalid. Why would he object to sharing his correspondence unless he has something to hide? Holder asked. Holder speculated that the something to hide is the racist intent of the Texas law requiring voters to show proof of identity before being allowed to vote. It is an established fact that a disproportionate number of undocumented persons are of Mexican descent. If Texas is permitted to proceed with its voter ID plan it will have a discriminatory impact on these people.

Cut some funding big time.
You can’t expect people who launch a scheme that requires mass murders to prosecute themselves. Obviously Obama’s mob doesn’t care about the law, and why should they? If leftists cared about the law, right or wrong, morals, the integrity of our system, they wouldn’t be leftists. If they weren’t leftists, none of this would have happened in the first place.
Then a quick trial and execution and it's Obama's move next!
lol...sadly, I could totally see some DOJ clown using that as a defense.
On a roll John. Another good one.
When is someone going to flush the turd in the punch bowl that currently occupies the oral office?

Good one, John.
The Department of Justice traces its beginning to the First Congress meeting in New York in 1789, at which time the Congress devoted itself to creating the infrastructure for operating the Federal Government. After meeting for several months the legislators passed a bill known as the Judiciary Act that provided for the organization and administration of the judicial branch of the new government, and included in that Act was a provision for appointment of a meet person learned in the law, to act as attorney-general for the United States
it seems to me the DOJ works for congress
“When is someone going to flush the turd in the punch bowl that currently occupies the oral office?”
The entire septic tank known as D.C. needs to be drained, but people get the government they deserve.
America, as a people, have let the Judeo-Christian ethics we were founded upon slip away from our culture.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer said that failure to speak out against evil is evil itself.
Our public reeducation system is a giant Marxist moron mill, and the media makes the Nazis look like amateurs.
Consequently, the soap box and ballot boxes have become near useless in righting this nation.
They don’t need to use the DOJ to do it. It just further cements they are all involved in F&F.
I second that.
Defund DOJ.
Defund IRS.
Defund ATF.
Defund FBI.
Defund all US attorneys.
If Obama can ignore laws he doesn’t need, then law enforcement agencies don’t need to be funded.
Congress doesn’t need DOJ to do anything, they can try and jail Holder all by themselves.
