An international team of scientists has not only verified the existence of a mountain range that is suspected to have caused the massive East Antarctic Ice Sheet to form, but also has created a detailed picture of the rugged landscape buried under more than four kilometers (2.5 miles) of ice.
"Working cooperatively in some of the harshest conditions imaginable, all the while working in temperatures that averaged -30 degrees Celsius, our seven-nation team has produced detailed images of last unexplored mountain range on Earth," said Michael Studinger, of Columbia University's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, the co-leader of the U.S. portion of the Antarctica's Gamburstev Province (AGAP) project. "As our two survey aircraft flew over the flat white ice sheet, the instrumentation revealed a remarkably rugged terrain with deeply etched valleys and very steep mountain peaks."

On the rocks ping.
Since Antartica was once tropical, I bet there is a TON of oil down there. Perhaps only the UN stands in the way of US Energy Independence!
Our God is an awesome God! Look what He did so long ago, and we’re just now finding out! :*)
Kinda makes you want global warming to melt Antarctica just to see the place in person they are talking about! Wouldn’t thrill seeking mountain climbers have a blast?
Any sign of strange buildings on the peaks? /Lovecraft
Penguins handle the cold down there just fine. Quit complaining and get back to work.

Maybe they will finally find some of the ancient cities and civilizations described in the Book of Mormon. They keep moving south. First thought to be in NY (couldn’t find any), then Central America (couldn’t find any), Antartica seems the next logical proposed location (hey, they’re buried under the ice.)
At least no one has suggested it’s Atlantis.
Maybe it’s Atlantis?
You may be on something. I mean, on to something.
He was doing real good until that day...... just slid right off the planet too!
