Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

There seem to be theological errors in this church’s take, but as your son probably doesn’t grok Christian theology anyhow, it would be meaningless to say he sees errors in this particular Baptist church’s version of theology.

Evangelicals teach that hailing Mary is wrong, that it is something God never wanted, but this is not classified as an unforgivable sin.

Here’s what I’m saying. If conservatives logged onto a CINO site where a lyin’, librul statist was an acceptable candidate but they kept pushing their ultraconservative on the board, they wouldn’t be following conservative principles. But for the sake of argument, let’s say they do so, and then when the owner of the board comes out and says that regardless of the vp CINO choice, voting for an ultraconservative at the top of the ticket ain’t gonna happen. Would conservatives be whining and opusing? No.

I thought this was a Constitutional prerogative of the Senate, not a matter amenable to mere legislation. Someone’s going to sue, soon.

That mess up by Romney in the introduction by saying at first Ryan was going to be “The Next President of the United States” vs. VP I was thinking “if only that was the case...”

Short term math, short term thinking. Where's your history and your future? Consider what happens in 2014 ... remember what happened with Clinton in 1992 -- hint that was two years into his second term. The crack pipe comment was an ad-hominem attack, which usually indicates an individual would rather strike out emotionally than logically. That's not how we win the game. This is chess; you have to think a few moves ahead if you really want to win.

That’s plain incorrect of Luke. Government under the constitution can’t require a religious test to qualify an elected candidate to take office. But!! A voter can use whatever criterion he or she jolly well pleases, whether it’s religion or whether the candidate prefers vanilla to chocolate ice cream.

Pardon me but I did not invent the figure of 0.0001% which you inflated to 3%. You have no idea what will be the outcome of this election. Why blame anyone other than the loser of the election (who you say will be Romney because I’m not voting for him) for not being persuasive enough to attract conservatives such as I am?

God is powerful enough to do whatever he wants. But the question remains unanswered IF he is doing so or if this is all ‘hopeful’ thinking on the ABOers part.

When one has to rationalize their vote for a liberal abortion/homo supporting liar by using God to do it, they should perhaps rethink their position.

What yanked my chain so much was his remark that he was a “Harvard trained lawyer”, yet spewed that nonsense.

Nah. Nothing to worry about. He'll have four more years and then we can get a real Conservative in the White House. /sarc

It's sickly sad reading words from so many who call themselves conservatives, whose choices will knowingly and willfully cause the re-election of a lying, corrupt, Marxist to the White House. omg

“That’s why I’ve decided to vote for the Fourth or Fifth Party ticket. Either one of them should do better than that”

They’ll get less than 0.0001%. You might just as well vote for obama. But if it makes you feel better,,,,,, I’ve made my reasons clear as to why I will hold my nose and vote for Romney.
