Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

Dunno what the hierarchy becomes above bishop, but surely there is, in principle, a way to rein in rogue bishops.

Not all Christians have hatred toward Mormons, actually none should ("for we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"). I actually encouraged my oldest daughter's choices in her Mormon friends. They were sweet, respectful, chaste young ladies. I was not afraid that my daughter would question her own beliefs and be pursuaded over to their own. She is now 27 and remains very close with those girls (young women).

While I do take issue with the Mormon beliefs, much as I do with other sects/cults such as Jehovah's Witness, I don't hate these people. Instead, I pray for them, that God will open their eyes to the Truth and use me as an instrument toward that purpose.

Being loving and kind goes further than behaving ugly and speaking with venom.

The only other choice is taking our country down the path to Greece. If the Obama/Biden ticket wins I see $20 Trillion or more in the national debt. We may not have a country as we know it.

Yup. obama wins and he completes the utter destruction of the country. And we must hold the “purists” just as responsible for it as obama himself, because they would have helped him get re-elected.

If you’re a “Harvard trained attorney” then why do you resort to such a blatant straw argument?

Where in this post did JimRob say that his “unmitigated opposition to Romney” was “ based on a personal religious test”? It does NOT.

The mormon stuff was a side note, but you can’t see that because you’re a mormon.

We have to hold our nose and support Romney

NO! NOT 'we' - just the fearful crowd! I'm standing with the ONE who says FEAR NOT!

Matthew 10:28 "And fear not them which kill the body, but are NOT able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

So is God using all the Homosexuals? Is their recruiting children helping further his intent too?

Or how about is he using the Muslims and their clitorectimies to further his word?

Is their no excuse or rationalization you Romney supporters will not endorse to further his anticonservatism?

I am not voting for a Mormon....I am voting AGAINST barry.

I wasn’t sure what I was going to do until today, when Paul Ryan was announced as VP.

That sealed the deal for me. Ryan isn’t one to stand along the sidelines. He will not only push Romney to the center, but I believe he will actually be able to push him to the right.

Perhaps his “mis-speak” when introducing him as the next president wasn’t a “mis-speak” after all. Although, I did like the way he humbled and made a joke about himself and corrected it.

Again, I am NOT voting for someones religion. I’m voting to get those bastards out of the white hut!

>>>>>Rove, Rollins, Romney et al.
Laughing at the Republicans who they KNEW would go along with their running of a liberal like Romney.
That is how the big mucky mucks in the republican party feel about their base.
They think they can get enough votes from the ABO crowd, so they can continue to politically spit on Conservatives and Conservatism.<<<<<
As long as “we” keep voting their leftist candidates in, they will continue to use “us” all the while laughing at what suckers “we” are. <<<<<

The post for the election cycle. Amen.

I have been given a binary choice, I did not choose this choice, it was selected by others for me in primary states long before I had any chance to vote.

Logic dictates that I choose a chance no matter how small over no chance.

Obama must go, or nothing else will matter later.

To: Jim from C-Town

I just recently went to Maryland from Ill Noise for the sake of getting a new job (Chicago wasn’t working out well for that purpose). Due to traveling around in that state (from Hagerstown to Frederick to Germantown) I’m getting a sense of the various constituency. Down in all knowing, urbane, sophisticated Monkey County in which Germantown resides, they even call the people of Frederick, Frednecks. Hagerstown, which actually has a lot of real rednecks in it, must seem to be in Sarah Palin’s Alaska. (But the motels are twice as cheap as downstate.) Maryland has been spoiled by Baltimore and the proximity of Washington, DC. Without that it would actually be a very decent place. It’s certainly mellower than Illinois.

Bump that!
