Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

The owner states the following in at the beginning of this thread:
I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am.
A few years back, several Mormons were posting threads designed to get converts for their belief system.

It seems the owner didn't want them using FR to draw members into their cult.

So it is a Conservative website, believing in the Judeo-Christian belief system.

I can. And he’d be impeached for it. Make sure you vote straight conservative. It’s absolutely imperative that we increase our majority in the congress and retake the senate, regardless of who wins the presidency. We have a major constitutional crisis coming and we’d best be ready to face it.

’ Rather than waste my vote on NutGoode, whom no one will even remember in five months,’

Five months how about five minutes, if that long. You actualy have to have HEARD of a person to remember them.

Being from NYC I have no conservatives to vote for. I used to write in the name of Priests but then my wife asked me how do I know they aren’t democrats. Now I am writing in my own name.

and indeed there are Jewish freepers upthread generalizing negativity about Christianity same as the generalizations directed at you..

Which came first, the generalizing negativity or the specific? Look again at post 293 and then check out post 330. If you don't see clearly what occurred in that exchange, all I can say is, dear wardaddy, how sad. How very, very sad that you see things that way.

meanwhile I will hold my nose and vote Romney and Ryan and enjoy thinking Ryan as POTUS down the road...

and get along with my Mormon and Jewish friends...I get along with anyone rejects progressivism and loves Dixie

That's good. You are a righteous person, I'm sure.

LoL.

Yes. Very confused.

Most of the time, hatred like this is masking fear. I cannot help but wonder what fear is behind these attacks on Mormons.

Perhaps they are afraid that is Romney is elected, he will try and impose his “Mormonology” on the masses? Perhaps they fear that if a Mormon is elected, the religion would be more accepted and their numbers will grow? I don’t know.

What I DO know, is that they have so little confidence in the promises of their own faith, whatever that is, they feel threatened.

How sad they cannot find peace in their own faith and in their Christ and feel compelled to “rebuke” something they disagree with.

I do not believe this was the message of Jesus, but what do I know, I’m just a Jew.

And I respect his wishes to avoid using this site for converts.

That said, you may be able to speak for Christians, but there is nothing “Judeo” in hatred and intolerance.

These people being attacked were not trying to convert. They are merely supporting a candidate who happens to be a Mormon.

It is obvious that those doing the attacking are NOT coming from a place of love and concern. They are coming from a place of fear, mistrust and anger.

Have you checked out ‘12 POTUS candidate Tom Hoefling of America’s Party? IMHO, he’s much better than Virgil Goode, on most issues. Tom’s knowledge of the U.S. Constitution and all other important U.S. documents is second to none, and Tom is a terrific speaker, too.

Tom Hoefling couldn't run a hot dog stand. The only thing he's succeeded at in his life was by some miracle to convince the GOP that carpetbagging, muppet-faced Alan Keyes was somehow a formidable opponent in the 2004 Illinois Senate race, --a race that resulted in such a devastating landslide loss that the winner, Barack Obama, couldn't help but think, "Wow! This election was so easy maybe I ought to run for President!"
