Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

howsabout YOU hike over to MITT’S HOME PAGE HERE AND READ ....IN PARTICULAR.... HIS ISSUES STATEMENTS. Read his stance on all the issues then you hike back here and tell us which ones you object to and why....they all make sense to the sensible ....so git movin..(i’ve made it easy for you here’s the url...) we’re waiting...

When did "Gumby" convert to a Moses type -- writing his issues on stone?

Saying Mitt would keep past political promises is like prophesying that Gumby won't bend anymore. Romney is a protean -- one "constantly changing" In fact, we know how bad Romney is by simply reading all the critiques of him by his supporters -- Romney proselytes who criticized him right and left in the past during the primaries! As new Romney devotees, they are singing a different tune! And that tune has absolutely NOTHING to do with Romney himself! We don't cater to politicians who attempt to hoodwink us into getting us to think they are "conservative" when they are authentics RINOs. Romney is a genuine snollygoster (a "fellow who wants office regardless of party, platform or principles..."). To coin an old humorous saying, "Half the lies Romney tells about his track record aren't true!"

Let's look @ just three "manipulative" word-games the Romneys have played during their "pro-life" campaigning (the last three we don't even need to go back to his wide-open "pro-abort" years):

Example A: January 29, 2007 during South Carolina visit, Romney stated: “Over the last multiple years, as you know, I have been effectively pro-choice." (Bruce Smith, "Romney Campaigns in SC with Sen. DeMint," The Associated Press, 1/29/07; yet on another South Carolina campaign stop Romney was claiming "I was ALWAYS for life”: "I am firmly pro-life… I was ALWAYS for life." (Jim Davenport, "Romney Affirms Opposition to Abortion," The Associated Press, 2/9/2007)

If you think that was simply a "miscue" type of statement politicians occasionally make on the campaign trail, listen to...

Example B: ...these jumbled words Romney told Chris Wallace of Fox during an August 12, 2007 interview:

"I never called myself pro-choice. I never allowed myself to use the word pro-choice because I didn't FEEL I was pro-choice. I would protect the law, I said, as it was, but I wasn't pro-choice, and so..."

Example C:

Ann Romney further tossed in confusing rhetoric about Mitt Romney's supposed "former" pro-abort positioning in her Parade Magazine interview (November, 2011):

In the past you’ve said he’s changed positions only once, on abortion. Was that your doing? No, no, I never talked to Mitt about that. Our personal opinions have never changed; we’ve ALWAYS been pro-life." (Ann Romney Reveals Mitt's Softer Side)

And NOW you're telling us...we're to believe EVERYTHING Romney says on his Web page...Wow...Talk about naive.

****************

Btw...even during Romney's pro-abort years, he had this penchant for not honoring the truth...Here is More Mitt-Fudging on the Truth...from 2001:

"I do not wish to be labeled pro-choice." (Mitt Romney, Letter to the Editor, The Salt Lake Tribune, 7/12/01)

Funny, how palin and the tea party are not behind Romney ad Ryan to oust the communist ghetto thug Obama.

Probably because voting for the RR team won't do that. (What it does do is send a message to the GOP-e that they can run liberals and you will vote for them everytime)

And also when Palin got behind the GOP--you know when she accepted the position of the VP on the ticket last time--she became their red headed step child and they did all they could to destroy and marginalize her influence on politics. Backfired on them big time, now she is the MOST prominate conservative pundit on the scene and remembers the GOP's vicious hateful backstabbing treatment of her.

Ditto for the tea party movement.

It much easier to vote like sheep for what ever candidate the GOP-e foist on you (while they laugh at how they dupe so many to vote for their liberal baby killing candidate) then it is to buck the establishment by not encouraging them to continue to go down the road to ruin with thier liberal ideals.

I don't support the GOP ticket either. (I'm in good company)

When you were seven years old, wasn’t there a kid on your block who would start crying and take his ball home when he didn’t get exactly his way? Same forces at work here and now. They’ll sit up in their rooms looking out the window as they see the rest of the kids pick up another ball and continue the game without them. And they’ll bitch and cry and some day start their own internet forum.

The same sordid thing happened in '08 with McCain. Makes me want to puke.

And we got the Marxist Obama.

The GOP-E does NOT own my vote.

Doesn't have mine at all. I left the pubbie party after being a life-long Republican because BUSH and the GOPe were ramming liberal ideologies and RINOs down everyone's collective throats rather than supporting conservatives and conservative ideologies.

For you FReepers hell bent on pushing Romney down our collective throats- get a frikkin' CLUE. This is a CONSERVATIVE site, not a cheerleading section of the GOP that now, by consent, supports a candidate with a dirty laundry list of liberal executive actions and pronouncements.

No one's doing what you accuse. They're stating their opinion and why they have a different view of things. What's of concern to all is having a Marxist return to the White House, or being handed the White House once again, because the GOPe selected a phony to run against him. This isn't the stepford wives program where everyone is expected to be a robot and chant the same slogan.

You speak with so much vitriol, I’m not certain you are not a DU’er or really an atheist- planted here to make Christians look bad or to try and effect the election by dividing the Republican base.

Personally- you are SO extreme I don’t trust you as far as I can throw you!

I hope people don’t fall for your crap. You’re being quoted on other sites constantly and the rest of us are being laughed at because of the degree of your hatred and intolerance.

I want to make sure I speak up here so that I am not painted the same color as you are- because it’s not a good color.

I believe you are a troll.

Nothing to do but support the ticket, and hope that Romney gets a yen for red meat, fried food, and overuses potency drugs (how I was able to stomach voting for McCain in 2008). Even if not, at least Obama will not be pResident (how I was able to stomach contemplating voting for McCain until he unveiled Sara at the convention).

Fear does some really strange things to people. I liken these that think they are doing the LORD’s work as needing a diaper change. Any ‘honest’ review of Romney's political past demonstrates he is a LIBERAL on all counts. There is literally nothing conservative about his political past. I guess because he got along so famously with the liberals in MA is all the credibility required to make him president.

Furthermore, Obama is the perfumed prince that represents apparently the majority of Americans, else how could it be that his ilk are still in charge of the Senate. And might as well be still controlling the House of Representatives. AND here we go again getting our collective (just had to use that word) heads bashed because we are NOT performing like scared abused women.

I shouldn’t vote for Romney, so that Obama can be reelected as a lameduck who can finish destroying this country?
