Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

That's rich. You post on a conservative board, pandering for the support of a pro-abortion, pro-guncontrol, pro-homosexualization, pro-stimulus, pro-bailout, pro-healthcareransoming candidate ... and encourage me, who does not, to seek psychological help. Physician, heal thyself. As a role model for "the children" you aren't walking the walk or talking the talk.

“There will come a day when Sarah Palin will be declared a RINO.”

I can’t recall the thread, but I’m pretty sure that already happened...or maybe it was the threat of that happening if/when she ever endorsed Romney. The stupidity is limitless.

You neglect that a (lot) will happen in the next four years.

A lot.

Several supreme court judges will retire. Four budgets are to be approved.

War may break out.

It is far too important a time to have Obama screwing things up for four more years.

No question. Romney / Ryan 2012.

Who in 2016 may be another question entirely. But for now Romney / Ryan.

No question.

I hate Obama’s guts and while I thought I was hardline, I am no longer certain that I can keep from voting against Obama

The religion of “Islam” has been forever maligned because a minority of zealots have screamed loud enough and long enough without the more moderate members of the faith calling them out.

Such will happen hear if ignorance and intolerance go unchallenged.

When the left attacks Christianity, they paint the entire faith with the same brush. The intolerant and confused are getting louder and louder while those who understand the message of the Christ remain silent.

Amazing to me how the extreme quotes the Old Testament to support their hatred, yet espouses the New Testament as the new truth. They tend to pick and choose Old Testament versus yet ignore the ones that don’t fit them!

I hope true, loving Christians do not let these mouths become the face of the faith. That would truly be sad.

Yes...and no...

Yes, in that I'm not perfect...

No, in that I'm already "in Christ" -- the place God wants us to be forever ... that same place

One of the apostle Paul's fave phrases was "in Christ"...and etymologically, "Christian" just means a "Christ" one

Christ is our perfection -- our righteousness -- says the apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 1:30)

So, yes, those in Christ still need to mature, still need to spiritually grow...yet God looks at those who are His as being in His Son

I don't care if Romzilla has a gills and two peters. I'd take a daily whipping over 4 more years of Zero. But like I've said, he should be kept guessing until election night. But let Barry win by default? Why, that's just crazy talk.

Funny, how palin and the tea party are not behind Romney ad Ryan to oust the communist ghetto thug Obama.

It’s the fanatical zealots who would not vote for Reagan were he running today that are out to lunch. don’t worry, I will do my best to get enough people to. Te polls to outnumber the ABRs and do the heavy lifting some of you expect the rest of us to do.

O.K. Diogenes, you have convinced me. I will stay home on November 6th and not vote for Romney due to his lack of conservative purity. I will not take responsibility for the Obama Supreme Court picks who may strip the 2nd Amendment from the constitution. I will not take responsibility for sky high taxes, 10 dollar gas, socialized medicine, a persecuted church, increased Islamic and social justice influence, the fairness in media act, and much , much more. I will spend the next four years cursing the Republicans for nominating a moderate and I will maintain my purity. (sarcasm off)

The Democrats held a 2/3 majority in the Senate in 1965. That's right, only 47 years ago. Perhaps there's not enough grey in your hair to known that. Wise up. Saying "it just doesn't happen" and "you have to be insane" to think any party can have such a majority shows the limits of your analysis. Here's another tidbit for your edification. In 1934, the democrats in the Senate were four seats short of a 2/3 majority. Certainly you are aware of the New Deal and other programs Roosevelt signed during this time period, or perhaps you missed that day of history class too. The point is, as you wring your fingers and believe the sky is falling if we don't help elect a liberal like Romney, realize the fear of the thing is greater than the thing itself. And that works against the Senate democrats too. You'll be amazed at what can be accomplished if we make significant gains in the Senate even if we don't quite reach the 2/3 mark. I won't intentionally throw a member of the opposition, like Romney, into the middle of our circle so a circular firing squad can ensue and our progress be erased, using my vote. You wring your fingers and do whatever you want with yours.
