Libyan opposition says it has oil deal with Qatar

BENGHAZI, Libya — A plan to sell rebel-held oil to buy weapons and other supplies has been reached with Qatar, a rebel official said Friday, in another sign of deepening aid for Libya's opposition by the wealthy Gulf state after sending warplanes to help confront Moammar Gadhafi's forces.

It was not immediately clear when the possible oil sales could begin or how the arms would reach the rebel factions, but any potential revenue stream would be a significant lifeline for the militias and military defectors battling Gadhafi's superior forces....

“It may puzzle and perhaps dismay young protesters in Benghazi, Cairo and Tunisia that their democratic hopes are being manipulated by an ultra-conservative Arab elite which has underhandedly backed a surge of militant Islamist radicals across North Africa. Credible U.S. intelligence reports have cited evidence pointing to Qatar’s long-running support for the Muslim Brotherhood, Al Qaeda and jihadist fighters returning from Afghanistan.

The links to Qatar uncovered by anti-terrorism investigators in the wake of 9-11 need to be reexamined now that the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), an on-and-off affiliate of Al Qaeda, has seized armories across half of the North African country. Libya’s well-stocked arsenals contain high-power explosives, rocket launchers and chemical weapons. LIFG is on the State Department’s terrorist list.

Qatar is a financial middleman between western civilized countries and the forces of darkness.

Just a guess:

If this is, in fact, the rebels’ plan, Europe may wind up having to find oil sources to replace what they used to buy from Libya.

Perhaps Europe always knew they were losing the oil supply either way and therefore simply desires to knock the sunni out of qdaffy; can’t say as I’d blame them on that.

But if western countries had any brains and guts (oh, and a President who was actually on their side instead of the enemy), they simply go in, clean house and set up a consortium of tribes as a puppet government. Unfortunately for us, the libyan puppetmaster is going to be iran unless this can drag on for two more years.

T'would be interesting indeed if the "militants" defeated Gadaffi's forces and took the country, oil wells and all; and then decided to sell the oil to China and Russia because the "militants" were comprised of the Muslim Brotherhood, al Qauida, and other West-hating islamonazis. That would then mean "boots on the ground" in Libya for Europe and the U.S.; it would also mean a new wave of terrorism in the West. Oblunder had better be certain he knows whom he's helping in this new war he entered into. We all know the bum waited three weeks to join in so he could claim he had noting to do with "starting" the war, and merely felt compassion for the "oppressed", (as if every citizen of an Islamonazi nation isn't oppressed by a tyrant, a King, or a usurper).

He who thinks Oblunder is a shallow man whose policies are directed by his anti-American sentiments and his immature sense of "victimhood" is correct, but he who thinks Oblunder isn't surrounded by diabolically brilliant Marxist political operatives, Hell bent on destroying America, is a fool. Barak Oblunder running the United States of America is akin to Doctor Mengele running an experimental medicine clinic for Jews. I have long been disgusted with the younger generation of Americans, who represent nothing but the opposite of all other generations of Americans, now I know why. They placed a Marxist, racist, destructive man into the White House because they liked the crease in his pants, his larynx, his skin color, and the thrill they got up their legs when he spoke. We are no longer in a political fight to keep America free, we are in a political fight to take an enslaved America back from those who stole it from us in broad daylight. The fight is going to be a long one because the enemies of freedom and capitalism are bold and proudly out in the open now, and are in power everywhere, politics, the judiciary, education, media, and have even infiltrated the clergy, and they are in the mood for a decisive battle against all that is good.

We are going to require unity, perseverence, determination, patience and courage if we are to win this political fight to re-take our nation. Anything less will end in failure. We will especially need UNITY and COURAGE. We will need to set aside our differences in the conservative movement until we win this fight, and we will need courage to fight these liberals; because make no mistake about it, liberals are mean spirited deviates who will stop at nothing to win.

They will use every bully tactic they can devise, and they will attempt to silence their opposition with fear and/or government litigation against them. The A.C.L.U. will be their Special Forces brigade. Misrepresenting the Constitution will be the core of their battle plan. Demonizing good people will be another of their armaments. Manipulating blacks and Hispanics to hate whites and conservatives will be their trump card, and if all else fails they will resort to brute force. I believe these liberals and Marxists are filled with hatred for Christians, Jews and conservatives in general, and hatred is a powerful force. The combination of UNITY, COURAGE and FAITH is the answer for us, UNITY, COURAGE and FAITH. Conservatives must not break ranks over minor squabbles, or fears. We must stand united and strong, and keep our faith no matter how bleak or difficult it appears. Our faith, held to the end, will win the day. And our faith tells us that divisions will weaken us, ignorance will distract us, fear will stop us, and division will destroy us. So KEEP THE FAITH and TRUST IN GOD!
