INDEED.
I would think people then could have used many different formats. They were smart people and could have easily used a format different than the normal papyrus or animal skins.
I want to hear more about this story.
Potentially very exciting if these are genuine.
“... the books were papyrus scrolls of that time, not the sort of leaved lead pages we see here.
***I would think people then could have used many different formats. ****
A couple of the Dead Sea Scrolls were written (engraved) on thin copper.
I do hobby blacksmithing also. Started off 38 years as a horseshoer, decided I liked shaping iron better.
I got a homemade forge and a load of good Oklahoma coal to stink up the area with. Peter Wright Anvil.
“A couple of the Dead Sea Scrolls were written (engraved) on thin copper.”
That’s right, I remember seeing that at the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit I went to last fall.

I think HotMetal is right. The wire doesn't look inconsistent with samples of Roman mail from that era, which would have generally been formed by wrapping around a rod then splitting with a chisel...
The Romans were linking wax tablets in this format for quite some time before Christ. It's not inconsistent with the era, although I believe most Jewish texts were still maintained as scrolls.
Yes! “777”
I remember a very well known Pastor/Teacher in Memphis, in reference to “666,” when teaching in Revelation:
“Don’t worry about “666” because “777” will take care of him.”
That is from Revelation. It is John that is instructed to eat the scroll.
Right you are; Chapter 10.
Thanks for that correction & update. I’m obviously slacking off in my Bible study!
Also FYI it’s on facebook and:

This is kind of like the Shroud of Turin; no one will probably ever prove for sure if it’s the real deal or a fake - but I find them to be terribly interesting regardless.
