I, for one, am in favor of it.
While I don’t know that it’s time for a major change,
if one is to be, let be the return of the pink and green.

If they’re issuing this large of a new hat, the morale problems in the Army must be epic.

I prefer the traditional Army Blue. But the Pinks and Greens are a close second.
As an Office uniform the pinks and greens are better than a field uniform. But I hope they keep the blue for formal and ceremonial occasions.

“What new form of fresh faggotry is this”?
You calling General Patton a fag? Lol It almost like the WW II uniforms. Sharp looking, too.

The original Pinks and Greens was a great uniform. There was also an optional dress shirt which was a dark rose pink which a number of the Army Air Corps fliers wore.
To: BenLurkin
You don’t know anything about uniforms.

I guess you were joking. You should have put an “s” for sarcasm at the end.

For all you color-confused FReepers out there:
Watch the timeless Christmas movie, "White Christmas" -- and look closely at the officer's uniforms worn by Bing Crosby and the General...
~~~~~~~~~~
Having said that, I devoutly hope that this is not another "must buy" uniform edict for already cash-strapped enlisted troops!
Less than a month before I left the USAF, some bunch or Pentagon chair-warmers edicted that all USAF troops WILL PURCHASE the newest "Class A" uniform in some new, slick fabric. Fortunately, I was able to have mine custom-made in Hong Kong.
It looked great -- but, I wore it a maximum of two times -- and, as a civilian, promptly "outgrew" it...
What a waste of several hundred much-needed $$$!!! :-(
Hey. If you want to resurrect uniforms from 70 years ago, have at it.
But it’s still a bad joke, no matter how much anyone might like the idea.
Hell, why stop there? Just go back 100 years and our troops can dress as Dough Boys.
