But you can destroy people’s faith in it. You can hammer them until it no longer sustains them. You can destroy everything until its adherents forget it in the day to day struggle for survival. You can reveal its ultimate impotence and corruption, as the leadership provides for itself while selling out the followers.
Unfortunately, in today’s military, that would be considered a war crime and/or a crime against humanity.

ISIS would celebrate and we would alienate those who hate ISIS already. I wish it was as easy and I have said it before also, but as long as the Muslim war is divided it is often as much at war with itself as us. That is to our advantage.

It was the devastating incendiary bombings killing a hundred thousand German civilians at a time and the evaporation of two cities full of Japanese civilians that brought WW2 to an end.
Vaporizing a sizable portion of the population in the Middle East and Indonesia (and now maybe even Europe again) seems expedient but will it ever happen?
I think we have quite a bit of “enjoy this ....” before we will do the unthinkable deed of stooping to the level of islam. It might have to start with wacking a bunch of the politically correct, seeings how most Americans have declined revival.
I doubt if the Japanese captured any US Marines on Iwo Jima. After the news got out about the Bataan Death March and other Japanese atrocities, no Allied servicemen were surrendering.
