She’s from WA State (eastern WA - red part) and a member of the leadership team in the House (currently Chairman of the House Republican caucus).

She’s big into the forest and mining industries. Trump may be talking to her about a position, such as Interior Sect’y, or perhaps he’s just speaking with her in general as a member of the Pubbie leadership team in the House.

I thought that was just the oval office. I had heard that Obama knew the office needed upgraded security, but left it so that Trump was ousted for a year rather than him. It wouldn’t surprise me - that would be just like Obama.
