In 35 years time -- time enough for several presidents, more than a few changes in the control of Congress, and a few dozen new seasons of "House of Cards" -- America will look different.
Not entirely different of course, but, as we've noted in the past, its demographics will have shifted enough to be noticeable. And with the release of new projections from Pew Research tracking how religious beliefs are expected to evolve, we now have a fuller picture of how America will have changed by the time today's toddlers are stalking Capitol Hill. Even if we don't necessarily know what it will mean for American politics.
Let's start with the shift in America's religious attitudes, according to Pew. In brief summary, more Americans will identify as being "unaffiliated" with any organized religion. This doesn't necessarily mean that they will be atheistic or agnostic; it simply includes the wide body of people who don't categorize their belief systems into an existing religious practice. People who are spiritual in a broad sense are included, but Wiccans, for example, aren't.

You have a romantic view of Mexicans. The original Spanish immigrants were heavily Catholic and very conservative, while many of today’s immigrants are neither. Leftism has replaced the Church in Mexican politics as entitlement has destroyed the once-ubiquitous work ethic.
Many of the original ‘Mexican’ settlers were Castilian Spanish landowners. The peons who sired the current crop of immigrants have the same ignorant worldview as the children of slaves. Raised in poverty, violence and ignorance, they provide the perfect fodder for Democrats. Having destroyed the American black culture, the Democrats need a constituency to replace their declining numbers.
Just like our indigenous welfare class, they will have to deny God and family and swear allegiance to those who fill the public trough with the blood of our children.
Probably -- what with all the Spanish-language media today. But many of today's American Latinos don't know Spanish or can't speak it, just as other third and fourth generation Americans don't understand the languages their grandparents spoke.
The way things are going, America by then will be divided into two distinct countries; Mexican Ameria and Muzzie America.
The two countries will be at constant war with each other.
In the end, the muzzies will win and America will become a muzzie country under Sharia law.
Whites will become a minority, forced into slavery and will be discriminated against without mercy.
The black race will be forced back into slavery and eventually killed off entirely by the two warring countries.
Well stated. Those who do not live in border states haven’t a clue as to how bad it is.
Sometimes I feel the Texas I grew up in and loved is long gone due to criminal illegal Mexican invaders.
Sometimes I feel the brave men who fought and died for our independence at the Alamo did it for nothing.
Thank you, patriot.
I was born and raised in El Paso, which was ruined even back then. Then the lawlessness spread to the rest of the border states. It is sad that the Alamo heroes fought for freedom from Mexico, and today the takeover is happening before our very eyes.
Btw, I read your home page - and where are those Texas mountains you speak of ? ;)

Well, I thought that's what these below were- but maybe I'm wrong. :) Oh, well. Who needs 'em? Not me.
Google "Texas Mountains"
Going to need to see some documentation to prove that ...
With so many coming from Mexico, it’s a wonder anyone is left in that country.
Mandarin may be more useful.
“Great future for the American children. Good Job, Baby Boomers...you lost the country.
That’s what happens when you are a dope-smoking baby boomer who is for free love, whatever feels good and equality for all. You really eff things up for others.”
Good thinking...
Spanish to speak to our employees - Mandarin to speak to our bosses.
“ These projections always make the mistake of believing trends will never change. Nothing stays static.”

True dat. Sometimes THEY GET WORSE… MUCH WORSE.
