Texas citizens received approximately $0.94 in the way of federal spending. This ranks the state 35th nationally and represents a slight decrease from 1995, when Texas received $0.95 per dollar of federal taxes paid (ranking them 37th nationally). Neighboring states and the amount of federal spending they received per dollar of federal taxation paid were as follows: New Mexico ($2.03), Oklahoma ($1.36), Arkansas ($1.41), and Louisiana ($1.78).
Well the argument that people that want less federal spending should just let the people that want more federal spending spend all the federal money is pretty lame.
Ron Paul could have stopped the 2-month extension of the Payroll Tax “holiday”, simply by showing up and objecting.
He didn’t. But he’ll go back for a meaningless vote that won’t stop anything.
He didnt. But hell go back for a meaningless vote that wont stop anything.
Why should he be the republican hammer? How many uniform republicans are supporting him? You have the speaker of the house, why didn't he stop it? How about the rest of the house leadership, why didn't they stop it, why not call them and ask them? I called Dr. Paul and I am happy with his answer.
Give me two examples.
I have written what I have written.
First, after the truth started coming out, there was no AK. Second, the only people I have ever seen who have passed medical school that are idiots are abortionist, of which Dr. Paul is not.
Third the only ones I have ever seen refer to accomplished successful people as idiots, are idiots.
And yes I do support Dr. Paul, he is the only one that seems to understand how deeply we are in debt. He seems to be the only one that understands the necessity of cutting G0vernment spending.
Are you in such a stable position that you can ignore the debt and spending?
I see that it was changed from Dr. Paul to just Paul. Thanks.
He sees the murder of over 3,000 people on 9/11 as an act of terrorism and not an act of war. Our country was clearly attacked by radical Islamist, We can either fight or surrender, Paul chose surrender and the white flag. Most conservatives find that disgusting.
You have obviously not tread what he said. Call his office and ask for a transcript. I think you'll find that what he did say makes a lot of sense. We have done nothing for the people of the middle east, not that I think they would have prospered from any help we gave directly to them, since they are so filled with hate, but, our aid has gone to the dictators and the UN.
Dr. Paul and I have disagreed on this, but his good far outweighs his bad. And he has been consistent for these twenty plus years that I have followed him.
This is how I select a candidate:
He must be pro-life.
Has he been consistent in his positions?
Does he understand the economy and how it works?
Does he understand that what is destroying our country is g0vernment?
Look, for every $50,000 dollars more the G0vernemt(s) hit me, another man or woman loses his job. For every $50K I save from G0vernemnt, I hire one more man or woman. Ron Paul is the only one that gives potential employees a light at the end of the tunnel. And I will guarantee you I am not the only employer that takes that stand. We cannot print the stuff, we have to show a profit.

Anyone called an air strike in on this newbie Paulitard?
How is it meaningless? It forces Zero to go on record as vetoing it and thus accepting final responsibility for the fiscal profligacy. It's a point that can be made in a fifteen second ad.
But hysterically blurting out "Paultard" every other sentence is nothing more than petty name-calling.
Such incivility can have a lingering effect. The GOP needs every vote it can get, and supporters of other Republican candidates do not help the party's chances of winning the White House when they flippantly alienate a significant portion of primary voters who would never vote for a Democrat in the general election.
Come November 2012, the GOP nominee will be needing many of those Ron Paul voters to show up at the polls.
So, go ahead, Ron Paul-haters, help 0bama out a little more in November: keep up the juvenile name-calling and insults towards Congressman Paul, and continue to denigrate his supporters as well. See how that helps the GOP come November...
The House will pass the “rejection” of the debt increase. The Senate will not vote at all, the time period will expire, and Obama will have to do nothing.
Meanwhile, because we botched the argument so badly, nobody except us cares that the debt limit is being increased, so nobody will be held “to blame” for increasing the debt limit.
Which makes sense, because by and large the voters don’t seem to be holding anybody “to blame” for actually increasing the debt either.
Ah, so your preference is for somebody who votes FOR a debt increase? Got it.
Whoopee. This vote is a lotta sound and fury signifying nuthin’.
