The entire purpose of religion seems to have been wasted on you.

I have stopped going to church. Therapy hasn't done much good either. My female catholic therapist told me how she was taught by the nuns that females are responsible for men's uncontrollable sexual impulses. In short, men can't control their impulses, but women must control theirs. That's just an example of how women are regarded. People just take it and are so used to it, they don't see anything wrong with it.

I am not the kind of "womyn" who would have ever wanted to be a priest, but I am the kind of "womyn" who would like to feel good about being in a church dominated by men who don't give a damn about us or our souls or our feelings.

Go back and read your postabout controlling impulses....talk about women having POWER!! Don;'t you see???

You wouldn't probably need your therapist if you went back to Church.

Uh, you do know, don't you, that your female Catholic therapist should not even be THINKING about herself during those 50 minutes you are dearly paying for, much less TALKING about herself. If I were you, I'd shop around for a new one.

Get a new therapist, quickly! Why is she telling you *her* abuse? Therapists should be tryin to heal, not dish their issues onto you!

Nuns had many stupid notions, they are not always representative of actual church beliefs.
