Hey wait a minute: The Algonquins had a tribe in Ireland now?

LOL, not that I am aware of.

there is no possible way to post on this thread without getting attacked by someone.

it's called an informed opinion.
personally, if i was finding what i called my faith to be guided solely by the whims of mortals other than myself, i'd take a step back and try to figure out "why".
but hey, that just works for me, no?

I hope you don't think I am attacking you when I say that I don't view a thread about a Vatican directive to Catholics as an invitation for you to tell us why you think your method of worship is superior to all others. I you want to talk about your religion in respects to other religions, start your own thread. That's just not what we're doing here. Thanks so much.

when i saw the thread, it looked to me like it was trying to notify us of the current status of the Vatican. that being done, and me gaining the information from here that i did get, i decided to post my opinion on the subject. it may be something i announced to you that some may feel is unprovoked, but what is the point of an opinion if you can't share it when it relates to the topic?

my way of worship may or may not be "supperior" to yours or others, but it is my belief that i must at least attempt to share my alternative to those whom i see as blind.

i meant no harm in my posts, but obviously, someone got defensive about it. my point was you cant make a comment on this subject without someone feeling they must share their views (in my case) or that everyone has the right to be wrong (even if it means the possiblity of a lost soul, as is taught)

Spare me. You criticized aspects of the Catholic church that had nothing to do with this thread. Then you pointed out why your own method of worship was preferrable. Now you are acting like a wounded lamb because I called you on it? Please. Go start a thread about your wonderful religion. I guarantee you you will not be innundated by insecure Roman Catholics telling you why our religion is preferrable.

its not a different religion, it's just Christianity without a middle-man.

as for criticizing aspects of the Catholic Church, it had everything to do with a thread based in information on the Church.

i in no way feel like a wounded lamb. i am simply stating what i feel. take it or leave, it bothers me not in the least. i did my part, it's up to you to listen or not.

and as for the sarcasm of an "insecure Roman Catholic", i dont feel that little bit of wit is far from the truth, even though you meant it directed at me.

It is not, as your repeated returns to this thread clearly demonstrate.

now in the context i posted that, the "even though it was directed at me" part was reffering to how i feel Catholics are... insecure. please, if you're going to quote, do the context clues around it.

For Catholics, it would be sacriligeous to dance in front of The Tabernacle of our Lord.

Examine the scripture. The Tabernacle of the Lord is an old testament reality. Do we see Christians using a "tabernacle" anywhere in the new testament? I don't think so.

There was a time that I bowed before the monstrance, believed that rosaries, scapulars, medals, so-called holy water and various other Catholic things were holy. I was taught to believe that Christ was literally the communion.

A day came when I witnessed people in my parish church being called by the priest to the altar to kiss a wooden cross. It sickened me.

Since then, I've examined the scripture, and have asked the Holy Spirit to examine my heart.

I've concluded that the Catholic church is not the one true church. In fact, and I'm sorry to say, much of what it teaches is not Christianity at all, it's Catholocism.

Examine the scripture.
