Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Because of her persistence.

Because of her FAITH!

"Because of her FAITH!"

We could go around in circles forever about her persistence being a manifestation of her faith, or being a a separate quality, or whether her persistence demonstrated the depth of her faith, but the fact is that her request was not granted at once. It was granted only after she *persisted* in her pleas.

However one chooses to view the relationship of her persistence to her faith, one important lesson of this scripture is that persistence is valued and may result in a prayer being answered that might not be if one asked once and then gave up.
