Vanity - Prayer Request: My Mother's in ICU

Hello Freepers. This is Anigrrl. Most of you may not know me, but I'm often on Catholic debate threads and some other threads.

My mother came down with a severe kidney infection and blockage and is in critical care with subsequent infections throughout her whole body. She's in very bad shape. My family and friends have been praying for her for days and she's actually started to show some improvement, although she has a long way to go.

I believe in the power of prayer and I would ask that anyone who reads this could lift up my mother, Carole Ponte, in your prayers and ask God to restore her health. She's still a fairly young woman (59) and I want to give my children the gift of a grandmother. Thank you freepers!

Thank you all. Please keep those prayers coming. I have friends doing a novena for her and I'm praying almost constantly. She finally showed some improvement, so there's hope, but her lungs are still in very bleak shape.

Just wanted to let everyone know when we went in this morning, it was the first time they actually talked about her recovering. She's not out of the woods yet, but the progress is really amazing.

Her lungs are still the concern, but they are trying to wean her by lowering oxygen levels. Please keep praying for her, for her physical health and that she might become closer to God and grow in holiness and give back from her renewed gift of life.

Thank you so much.. each and every one of you. And praise God. Thank you, God, Thank you Jesus. Amen!
