Norm Franz is associated with Ascension Ministries. I got this article in May/June 1999 from a pastor from Portland, Oregon, after some pastor friends of mine traveled to Denver to some revival meeting. These pastors had always gotten carried away with different fads that went through the churches. At this particular meeting a so called prophet told this pastors wife that she was a prophetess. The doctrine this so-called prophet, and his group were teaching was why Norm Franz wrote this article. These pastors were eventually asked to leave the church, but not before much division. At this time I became aware of how far the American church has strayed from using the Bible as their guide.

Coming from a family that followed a false prophet for 5 generations,(one we are not allowed to discuss on freerepublic any more) I realised how this kind of doctrine can deceive many.
