McClatchey (the owner) will still find a way to botch it. He doesn't want to be in Pittsburgh, but has a 25 year lease for the new stadium that our tax money built (still owe $39 million on 3 Rivers Stadium...which doesn't exist any more!). Fact is that Pittsburgh as a city is in the toilet, and just wants for someone to be decent enough to flush...We can't support MLB any more. Our population has dropped by 50% and taxes have increased by about as much, Socialism lives here, but not much else.

It a beautiful ball park from what I've seen on TV.

If he doesn't want to be in Pittsburgh, he should sell the team. There should be someone in Pittsburgh that could make that franchise work.

You're a yinzer? We should have given up on baseball long ago. If we're gonna build stadia, we should build one for the Penguins. They happen to be the lst team in this town to actually win anything.

(I'm not saying that taxpayers should build stadia, just that it will happen.)

Buffalo is 1/3 what it was in the 60's...I fear the loss of the Sabers with the adelphia thing....Socialism lives here too..that is why the city died..
