***The LDS Church is open for investigation, look for yourself, go there and see for yourself, take the discusions, talk to the missionaries, but most importantly, PRAY to Your Father in Heaven and ASk with a sincere Heart, and He will Testify to you by the power of the Holy Ghost that it is ALL TRUE!***
Ron, this doesn't pass the giggle test. You really think BYU offers academic freedom to teachers who question the party line history of Mormonism?
I note you much prefer a subjective burning bosom confirmation of Mormonism, this is understandable given the major historical problems of Mormon "scriptures" and the character of Mormon "prophets." And we certainly don't want to take seriously Paul's recommendation that we search the Scriptures to see if Mormonism is true.
Much easier to decieve people via a subjective thorasic glow. Subjective proof is much more useful than dealing with those inconvenient inconsistencies in Mormonism.

The church is about to put out the first (there will be more) DVD-ROM of hi-res scans of over 400,000 documents from it's archives. I don't see the Vantican doing anything like that.
And i don't think there are too many anti-pope professors at Catholic universities.
