I am a bit confused here. I asked what steps your church was taking to safeguard children and that is attacking you as a human being? I missed something apparently. Do I hate you? Well, you are not part of the Clinton Crime family so NO. I do hate Clintons though and jehadis and peruvian puppy killers.

I am asking for an answer since I have had not stepped into an LDS building in a couple years and my information may be out of date. I would rather not have a misconception (and Ed Decker is not a source of info or amusement) I find the "personal worthiness interview" idea chilling and had a bishop that did interview hoping for some big transgression (it was really creepy). Many Mormons are decent people and trying to do what all of us want to: get through life in the modern world as best we can.

AHA! Now I see the reason for your hatred against all things Mormon. You're an APOSTATE, an ex-Mormon anti-Mormon! Now it all makes sense.

You obviously have very severe hangups and obviously never understood Mormonism or lived it, which explains why you go out of your way demonizing it whenever you can. It has been my observation that every single ex-Mormon turned anti-Mormon have ALWAYS FAILED to live the commandments they are required to abide by as Mormons. Inability to live the commandments is twisted to blame and find fault with the church. I wonder what your failing was? Sexual immorality? Smoking, drinking, coffee, drugs? Of course it's none of my business and I expect you to deny it, get your back up or claim you were as pure as the virgin snow before the meany Mormons got our filthy paws on you.

Kinda ironic. I'm an ex-Roman Catholic but I've NEVER demonized my former faith. I've never felt the need to constantly oppose and ridicule it. Heck, I even send my children to a Roman Catholic school (they're the only LDS in the entire school) and I defend the RCC on numerous occasions, even here in the Free Republic.

I've often wondered at the motivation of ex-Mormons with their bitterness. Why can't they seem to get on with their lives? And yet you claim to have LDS friends! Surely you jest. How can you have LDS friends when all you do is demonize their faith and oppose it?

To rest, any questioning of her (false) church, is an attack on her.

CARepGal,

Incredible that this thread about an abused 12-year old boy turned into this, but I don't think that was your doing.

When you see this:

AHA! Now I see the reason for your hatred against all things Mormon. You're an APOSTATE, an ex-Mormon anti-Mormon! Now it all makes sense.

Don't let your heart be troubled. If you left Mormonism, you left men who asked this:

"Take up the Bible, compare the religion of the Latter-Day Saints with it, and see if it will stand the test."
Brigham Young

"Convince us of our errors of Doctrine, if we have any, by reason, by logical arguments, or by Word of God and we will be ever grateful for the information that you will ever have the pleasing reflections that you have been instruments in the hands of God of redeeming your fellow beings.
Orson Pratt

Well then.

1. No Book of Mormon cities have been located

2. No Book of Mormon names have been found in the New World Inscriptions

3. No genuine inscriptions have been found in Hebrew in America

4. No genuine inscriptions have been found in America in Egyptian or anything similar to Egyptian, which could conform to Joseph Smith's references for "reformed Egyptian" (regarding plates supposedly found by Smith during his vision of September 21, 1823)

5. No ancient copies of Book of Mormon scriptures have been found

6. No ancient inscriptions of any k8ind in America, which indicate inhabitants, had Hebrew or Christian beliefs have been found

7. No mention of Book of Mormon persons, nations, or places has ever been found

8. No artifact of any kind, which demonstrates Book of Mormon is true, has ever been found.

Moreover, the Mormon Church teaches that Jesus Christ was a pre-existent spirit like the rest of us. This is in direct contradiction to John 1:14 - "He became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, as of the only begotten of is Father, full of grace and truth." Mormon theology also is in contradiction to Colossians 1:15 on this matter.

Also, the Mormon doctrine of God is contradictory to what the Bible teaches. The Mormons believe in many gods and teach that God Himself was once a man. Moreover, Mormon males have the possibility of attaining god-hood, as Joseph Smith made clear in The King Follett Discourse:

"God was once was we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits in yonder heavens...I say, if you were to see him today, you would see him like a man in a form like yourselves in all the person, image, and very form of a man.....Here then is eternal life--to know the wise and true God; and you have got to learn how to be Gods yourselves, and to be kings and priests to God, the same as all Gods have done before you.

This is in direct contradiction to the Bible, which repeatedly says there is one true God.

"You are My witnesses, declares the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen, in order that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me, there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me.
Isaiah 43:10.

So be glad CARepubGal. You have left something that is, in my view, false.

"I find the "personal worthiness interview" idea chilling"

Far less chilling than any job interview I've ever been in. It's not an interegation, it is an opportunity for a person to declare their worthiness, or confess their lack of it.
