You're welcome. Sometime I get so tired of the Catholic bashing a negative threads.

I don't like Scott Hahn and I am not Catholic, but this was a good article and it made me smile. Thanks.

Note fatherless youth more frequently out of compass. Mother, nurturer. So too with Father, but paternal law-giver, provider and protector. The patriarchal sense of Scripture reinforces these.

I'm not a fan of Scott's by any means, but this article is pretty good.

I glad you liked it LibertyGirl77!

So where do these youth go for their nurturing and compassion?
Maybe this is something that all church youth groups might look at implementing.
To: KennyV
I thought it was good too. Glad you enjoyed it.

**Excellent post. Hahn is great.**
I thought so too!

I'm a big Dennis Prager fan. A chapter in his book,
Think A Second Time, fleshed out the only the bones of the idea I mentioned here.
Another great chapter in same book is mirrored here.
I push his stuff rather shamlessly because I feel he's done so much for me.
Another great online article of his, from a Catholic source is Why Judaism Rejected Homosexuality.
I hope you might find at least some of his work as enlightening, and giving of, as he says, "moral clarity," as I do.
God Bless....

B'shem haAv, v'haBen, v'Ruach haKodesh, Elohim echod. Amen.
The Prayer To Our Father
(in the original Aramaic)
Abwûn
"Oh Thou, from whom the breath of life comes,
d'bwaschmâja
who fills all realms of sound, light and vibration.
Nethkâdasch schmach
May Your light be experienced in my utmost holiest.
Têtê malkuthach.
Your Heavenly Domain approaches.
Nehwê tzevjânach aikâna d'bwaschmâja af b'arha.
Let Your will come true - in the universe (all that vibrates)
just as on earth (that is material and dense).
Hawvlân lachma d'sûnkanân jaomâna.
Give us bread (understanding, assistance) for our daily need,
Waschboklân chaubên wachtahên aikâna
daf chnân schwoken l'chaijabên.
detach the ropes of faults that bind us, (Karma)
like we let go the guilt of others.
Wela tachlân l'nesjuna
Let us not be lost in superficial things (materialism, common temptations),
ela patzân min bischa.
but let us be freed from that what keeps us off from our true purpose.
Metol dilachie malkutha wahaila wateschbuchta l'ahlâm almîn.
From You comes the all-working will, the lively strength to act,
the song that beautifies all and renews itself from age to age.
Amên.
Sealed in trust, faith and truth.
(I confirm with my entire being)

Thank you so much.
I wonder where I'd heard that before....
It also shares certain thematic resemblances with the Hebrew Amidah, so the antiquity is even further joined.
"Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."
I hope You and Yours will always be well. God Bless....
