Proof for me is not the Same as for Thomas. I'm not doubting Jesus' resurrection. I'm talking about a reason I should switch from one denomination to another.

Why would I do something like that without being CONVINCED that any new denomination was right. Therefore, if it's just a matter of assumptions, then there's no reason to switch. Their assumptions, my assumptions, this denom's assumptions, that denom's assumptions -- that's all loose stuff that could drift.

To switch I'd need PROOF. No one is offering it. In that case, my methodist assumptions are as valid as the next guy's.

Gotcha. It's not necessarily the doctrines, it's the idea of switching. I know you read the early Fathers, I believe I've heard you say it...
