Dear angelo, I guess the question that I want to ask of any sincere Jew is why don't you see Jesus as the Christ? As a Protestant who grew up in a Jewish neighborhood I was surrounded by Jewish culture and identity. Then as a young adult I lost interest in religion as an organized thing. But then I re-entered the study and was astounded to find that Catholicism is quite Jewish and that Jesus is more real than I had thought. So I don't get it when I talk to Jews who are truly Jewish in faith. How can you miss this? The Prophets preannounced him. He fits and he actually lived. And he actually was crucified. People don't get beheaded (Paul, a Pharasee), or crucified, or fed to lions over such a huge period of time for a hoax. I just can't understand why Faithful Jews can't see the Son Of David.

Hello? If the "waffer" is God, why is having it as an object of my faith wrong?

I'm late to the party but didn't see an answer to this, and you asked 9 times, so....

Is is not that God has commanded us to not make graven images of Him, and that I would assume graven also applies to baked or unleavened 'images'?

'Course you might respond that God's sovereignty allows him to become the wafer, but then don't you risk creating a quadrune Godhead? Father, Son, Spirit, Wafer? [Cup?]

Not too late to make a Good point :>).. I have been told by a Catholic that if the Waffer was not REALLY God they would become an athesist..so we know that He does not worship the trinune God of the Bible ..He has all His hope and Faith in a waffer of bread..

That is your interpretation. Jews do not interpret the same passages the same way.

Jesus did not fulfil the primary messianic prophecies of the Hebrew scriptures -- world peace, return of all the Jews to Israel, rebuilding of the temple, universal knowledge of god. And there is no prophecy in the Hebrew scriptures that the messiah will come twice.

Well, I guess that dying for our sins wasn't enough for some people. It may be true that Jesus did not fulfill the expectations of many who are Jewish, but then it may be equally true that their expectations were wrong.

As for rebuilding of the Temple. It was destroyed long after Jesus was crucified, not before.
