It really does not matter what he "thinks of" it is what is happening in the unseen spirit world that matters....

I'm in total agreement with RnMom on this one. Isn't it amazing and predictable how Satan has made evil seem fun?

I suppose it is a satanic high holy day, but it is also the Eve of All Saints. We celebrate All Saints' Eve with great joy. We dress up as our favorite Biblical characters or saints from later periods. My husband dresses up like St. Patrick which always throws newcomers, and I like to dress up as St. Hilda of Whitby or as St. Briege (Bridget).

We carve a cross into pumpkins that we put out on the stoop and down the front walk with candles alight in them, and we light a sign in the front yard that says, "No ghosts here but the Holy Ghost."

We give the children who come a little gift bag with some candy but also a New Testament, some holy cards, and pencil that says "Jesus Loves You" and a button that says "Jesus Love Me (and you too!)". We have a great time with family and friends. And over the years many of our Catholic and other Christian friends have taken up the practice and made it their own.
