***Blessed in the dictionary means Holy, held in Veneration, Revered.***

Which greek/Hebrew lexicon are you using?

Greek (makarios):
Louw-Nida > blessed, happy
UBS > blessed, fortunate, happy
Anlex > of persons characterised by transcendant happiness or religious joy, blessed.

Hebrew (asheri):
BDB > blessed, fortunate

Using an English dictionary to determine the meaning of greek or hebrew words can be misleading, and this is a case in point.

The hebrew and greek words used in the OT and NT do not mean holy, venerated or revered.
