Let's just put it this way. If a census was taken and one of the questions was: Are you a Christian? the Christians answer would be YES. Then if asked what denomination the Catholic would answer, Catholic. The Protestant would say, Presbyterian, Methodist, Lutheran, Seventh Day Adventist, Bible Christian, Church of Christ, Baptist, Nazerine, Episcopal and any number of denominations starting with the word REFORMED.

Methodists,Nazarene, Wesleyan...all have the same doctrine...the difference is mostly in the membership requirments, The AOG and the Calminian Baptists are also tied to them in doctrine except by a point of doctrine or so. Some of the churches like a formal worship and some not..

There are actually very few distinctives in the different Protestant churches ...but we are a stubborn people we want to have complete agreement with the doctrine and teaching of our churches on Sundays

Let's just put it this way. What is the religion stamped on a serviceman's dog tags?

Those who make a point of counting "denominations", Protestant, Catholic, or Other, are playing a silly game.

The big "P" or "C" on the serviceman's dog tags signifies a Christian and the Chaplain asks no further questions.
