Interesting. It says the shroud is under constant security watch. I think someone could write a terrific novel about some bad guys trying to steal the Shroud of Turin. With lots of suspense, politics, and stuff about the Vaticn and relics, it would make a good novel! I would read it! Now somebody needs to write it!

It might not be all fiction. Only a few years back, Turin Cathedral caught fire, and rumours circulated that this was a deliberate attempt to destroy the shroud. Apparently the fire was very suspicious, and cathedrals don't often catch fire.
