Surely some other creature would be able to communicate in as detailed speech as we do, so that we could actually have conversations with each other. Surely other creatures would be able to create technology such as ours...........

If you take the object shown in the picture in post #11, dry it, and smoke enough of it, the other intelligent animals will begin talking to you.

Why is this? Wouldn't we exterminate any rivals? On the other hand, squids are very smart invertbrates, but they have trouble mastering fire..
