"the regenerate" is your interpolation. "We" could be the Church, and it is, in the case of this letter, the church in Corinth, at least those who are spiritual, rather than "carnal. " Paul starts out by expressing his concern with the divisions in the church. Then after contrasting the spiritual and the carnal , in Chapter 3 let's them have it with both barrels."
"We" = "The Church" = "The Regenerate" = "The ELECT Lady" = "Those in whom the Holy Spirit resides" = "Those who have the mind of Christ".
The visible (temporal) church has a mixture of wheat and tares --- sheep and goats -- regenerate and unregenerate.
No goat -- no tare -- no unregenerate has "the mind of Christ".
So Paul says: "We have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit that is from God, *that we may understand what God has freely given us*."
But "The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man (one of "the brethren" in whom is the Holy Spirit) makes judgements about all things, but he, himself is not subject to __ANY__ man's judgement: For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?"
"But WE (the INVISIBLE church) have the mind of Christ" [1 Cor.2:12-16].
New "babes in Christ", are still more carnal than spiritual, but unlike those who still hate God, they are now "teachable" and able to know the things of God as He reveals them.

If you want more information, you way want to look over what a former Reformed Presbyterian Ruling Elder assembled on the subject located
here.
Or you can continue to cut and paste the same lines of Scripture with your interpretation of them over and over and over again.
