If making mistakes is proof of the other guy's position, how about famous author Jonathan Wells claiming that the experiment produced mutant shrimp?

Argue with him. You say he made a mistake. I've posted what I care on the subject, enough for you to admit what actually happened.

Whale/Hippo is easy

  1. DNA says whales and hippos have no other living artiodactyl species between them.
  2. This implies using evolutionary logic that they have a common ancestor.
  3. Pakicetus is too far away in time to be between hippo and whale.
  4. Therefore some other creature must be between them(and an artiodactyl) closer to the present than pakicetus.

A physical prediction--a missing link species--made with evolutionary logic! Thank you!

Now give a prediction in ID logic.

BTW, even in your syllogism, Pakicetus remains the most probable common ancestor of its day for both whales and hippos. That the branch point is later is IIRC assumed generally now and wouldn't put a dent in anyone's fender on the E side of things.

(Nice try.)
