I agree. But participation is more than spamming and trying to shout down opposing viewpoints.
As for me, I'm simply fed up with the spamming from medved, the bizarre posts from f.Christian, and the obstinacy and circular reasoning of Gore3000, AndrewC, and Phaedrus (sorry if I left someone out) and, from time to time, call them on it.

Interesting that you call it spamming to try to engage in discussions about the subject at hand while you do not consider the actions of your friends (such as 'placemarker', 'going for 2000', numerous inane pinctures and posts which have nothing to do with the subject, and just blatant insults with no substantiation, such as the very post above) spamming. You seem to be displaying the usual evo completely subjectivist mindset that words mean the opposite of what they objectively mean.
