The prayers of me and my family are with you. If you have an address for St. Patricks to receive donations please post it.
That's very kind of you. St. Patrick's has received many kind offers of assistance, and I know it's needed, as our pastor was telling me just the other night about one parish family, home-schoolers, that has provided three of our most intelligent and competent acolytes (all male, need I say): the family was flooded out and has lost everything.
The parish address is on their website; you can also follow the links at their site to make a secure on line donation.
I really do appreciate your concern about us. The Archdiocese has had to lay off several hundred employees recently, and I happen to know they are utterly incapable of coping with the damage sufered at the low-income housing complexes they own and operate. I am not in love with Archdiocesan bureaucracies, but everybody understands these layoffs are a reflection of radically reduced collections, which means the parishes are going to be strapped as well.
