Really -- I'm temping and it's been slow, so I've been home a lot. But there have been lots of times I've been stuck in an office and depending on those who could to provide comments on FR! And the more, the merrier! (Or at least the more complete.)
The first speaker was great in that he really put it to the Bishops that they are as or more guilty than the perps... I was pretty upbeat until he made the veiled mention of women's ordination being thoroughly discussed and how women in the Church are marginalized.
The woman speaker was awful, I thought, definately an agenda - she really pushed for the laity having a much larger involvement (as did the male speaker), and Raymond Arroyo correctly, IMO, pointed out that it seems like they want the laity ordained as well. (and the laity cannot agree within our ranks...my comment, not theirs)
It speaks volumes that these two were the invited speakers...
I'm not feeling too good.
