"Indeed, the awesome majesty, the limitless power, and the eternal glory of God, on the one hand, and the intense love and tender care for mankind by our Father, Creator, and Benefactor, on the other, is amply manifested by the design of our universe, of our solar system, and of our planet, and it is manifested equally clearly by the infinitesimal architecture of all life itself."

"devilution"? - LOL - Look, life evolves, it changes over time. This is obviously demonstratable. You may argue that this mechanism of surviving against change is not the source of life on this planet, but that doesn't make the mechanism some how evil or from the "devil". It's this kind of position that doesn't allow for any discussion between creationists and those who believe in evolution as a source of origins.

When we look closely at the universe, we see the hand of God.

Wow, those hands must be huge!

"the mechanics of life soon proved beyond the most clever of scientists. Sir Francis Crick has noted that the "origin of life seems almost to be a miracle, so many are the difficulties in its occurring." Another scholar, Klaus Dose, says that the solutions to the difficulties in origin-of-life research are "beyond our imagination."

Test tube philosophy is 'goofy' vs Galileo--truth-science!!

Probably from humans, same as you and me . . .

I've always found the changing of a word such as "devilution" or "democRAT" to be silly and juvenille. What is this third grade?

"Intense love and tender care for mankind by our Father" is tough to accept and live with after seeing up-close-and-personal some of the atrocities mankind does to mankind.
Not even the unit Chaplain could explain.
Some folks rotate out, go back to church, sleep at night, no problems. Kinda' admire that. Envy I guess.
Doesn't work for a lot of otherwise normal people.
Which has a fringe effect of not readily going along with the creationism bit.
Lot's of things can't be explained, and just because neither evolution nor creation can convince me, I'm not going into the corner to blindly accept either.
Don't think I'm the only one on that boat.

The ongoing bastardization of the English language around here is definitely the devil’s work.

I don't know about the "devil's work" but some people around here definitely have their dabate skills solidly locked into a gradeschool mentality.

BEFORE USING "ABSURD OR GOOFY" TAKE A LOOK AT A.E. WILDER SMITHS WRITINGS. THIS IS A SCIENTIST THAT HAS FIVE EARNED DOCTORATES IN SCIENCE. BASED ON A 20 YEARS AVOCATION IN THE SUBJECT I HAVE IT NARROWED DOWN TO THIS.... EDUCATED PEOPLE BELIEVE IN MACRO-EVOLUTION BECAUSE THEY ARE TOLD OVER AND OVER AGAIN THAT EDUCATED PEOPLE BELIEVE IN MACRO-EVOLUTION.

A can of worms (our evolutionary cousins to some people) is always opened up with these types of threads.

Although I believe in 'inter-species evolution' - special adaptation which helps an animal adapt to its environment - the idea of a fungus, fish, lizard or ape "evolving" into a human is absurd. I'm still waiting for someone to discover the holy "missing link" that isn't a hoax, as it has been so many times before.

I'm also still waiting for an evolutionist to explain to me how squashing a cockroach is morally accepted, while murdering another human is not, since we, according to their messiah Darwin, share the same genetic origins.

Any takers?

You may not believe that evolution is the mechanism that gave rise to life on this planet, but life changes. It evolves. Life survives. Why? Because IT CAN ADAPT AND CHANGE - it evolves. How is this mechanism somehow "evil" or from the "devil".
