Within the last 6 weeks, we have preached messages on the evils of both Free Masonary and Mormonism. When was the last time your church did that? Does your church really believe there is a need to do that from the pulpit? I would think that anyone in my church that is a member or at least a "regular attender" would already know that. We would more likely address "cults" in a Sunday School or seminar setting, or provide information through the church library.
That's not a slam Woody, it's an observation.

Does your church really believe there is a need to do that from the pulpit? If we were talking about a Calvinist church I would say no! But, the fact is the largest group of new recruits for Mormons is the Arminian churches. Obviously what you are doing ain't working too well.
Just an observation.

My brother is a Scottish rite, radical Baptist. I don't get the mason thing; always seemed silly to join a club to me. I've equated it with joining the Lions Club.
Is there a problem with masons?
