He was obviously speaking to the "Calvinists" (called Pharisees and Saducess) of his day when he, "he absolutely slammed the legalistic, politically correct, "religious zealot" _sinners_ who presumed to think that they knew better than he did what love is, and how people "should behave" if they want to be "pleasing to God"."
He could do that because He was God in the Flesh. We are not. This was never Paul's approach, however, who was more like to warn those he loved with tears night and day. It is Paul the Bible teaches us to emulate, by the way.

You responded: "He could do that because He was God in the Flesh. We are not. This was never Paul's approach, however, who was more like to warn those he loved with tears night and day. It is Paul the Bible teaches us to emulate, by the way."
No kidding? Remember those religious legalists who were trying to get the Christians in Galatia to add works to grace if they wanted to be pleasing to God?
You do? Great! Just pretend that I'm "emulating Paul" here:
"As for those agitators, I wish they would just go the whole way and cut their penis totally off!!!" [Gal.5:12]
Please excuse me, but I wasn't quite able to work up those loving crocodile tears that you were saying was Paul's approach. I'll try to come up to your standards and behave better next time. :D
