I, also, had a difficulty accepting the "L", Limited Atonement, until I realized that the ones with a "limitation" problem were not the Calvinists, but the non-Calvinists who insist that the atonement is sufficient to save all the world, yet doesn't actually save anyone apart from their "decision".

I found myself becoming a full "5 point" man when I recognized that it is far easier to believe that Christ actually died for His elect than to believe that Christ might have died for everyone.

My view is that the atonement was sufficient for and provided for all but efficient for the elect only. Only in the case of the elect is the gift of faith imparted through regeneration by the Holy Spirit. My view of irresistable grace is aligned with Calvinism.

Now, I see the logic of making the extent of the provision equal to the extent of it's application, I just find key texts that keep me from connecting the dots. Both the work of Christ on the Cross and the work of the Spirit in regeneration are required in the redemption of the elect.

Well I have believed it is limited to those He calls....so even though I may be closer to Steve..I still claim all 5 points:>)))
