Your assessment of Fessio's current mindset AND 'invalidity' of portions of the Novus is flat wrong.

You are correct, however, in stating that the 'innovators' are also wrong in most regards, both major and minor.

If you want to know Fessio's current mindset, visit the Adoremus website (.org) and read a bit.

I am not interested in still more Novus Ordo propaganda so I will take your word for it that Fr. Fessio is still tilting at windmills. Nothing will come of it. They've been talking about this for forty years--and the situation only gets worse and worse as the N.O. liturgy continues to fragment from diocese to diocese, with very little guarantee that the necessary requirements of matter, form, and intention for validity are being respected. A search for some middle ground sounds good, but like a lot of "moderate" positions in the Church nowadays, it is an exercise in futility. The two rites are totally incompatible and connot be reconciled.
