Ok - so you disagree - why not just say - "I disagree" - not on and on trashing Bush. I just don't understand the need to try and dig up blame and blast it all over the internet. What good does that do? Couldn't you show a little respect for the president? You know he is not the one doing all of this - he is only trying to settle things. He will fail as all presidents have failed. So what?
Israel will do what they want. Arafat will do what he wants and America will pay for it. Not because Bush did or didn't do something but because they are doing what they want. We will have to go after Saddam by ourselves. The arabs won't like it so will join in with Saddam against us. We will clean up the world for all of them, our soldiers will die for all of them but the only one at fault will be Bush because he did not read your mind, jump when you wanted and you have to blame the leader.
Yet, we are firm in our resolve, we are going to have to go after Saddam because he will use nuclear weapons against us as soon as he gets them. He may already be arranging with Al Quada for the dirty bombs.
However, you are hung up on what Bush tells Sharon and you trash him because he tries to settle this situation down so that the world situation can be handled more effectively. Sounds like what I would expect him to do as my president.
Yes, it falls under the Fair Use Policy.
Canada spies on us. Mexico spies on us. All nations spy on all other nations....
That is also one way you train rookie spies; you turn them loose in a safe, but foreign, country, to try out their chops.
Smoking crack is bad for your health.
I wouldn't know or care - I'm not into mind-altering drugs of pleasure.
Pretty sure that all who want to be are already armed.
I hate tyranny. I have no hate for any particular nation or people. You have no idea what you're talking about but that hasn't ever stopped you before. My religion has no bearing on this discussion.
Regular citizens can have them, but they have to have permission from the government. However remember that most Israeli men are members of the Reseres of the IDF, and often are allowed and encouraged to take their weapons home, sort of like the Swiss, except the Swiss are required to do so, and who unto him who has shot up his issued ready ammunition. They get subsidized or sometimes free ammo to practice with at the gun range, but must maintain the "ready" supply in the home. Practice at the range, is encouraged, but AFAIK, not required
I think you seminar posters are deluded into thinking that anything and everything, whether true or not, is an indication that everyone but you has the right solution in the middle east.
I merely noted that the socialist nation of Israel only allows those who are in the government ranks to keep firearms at home.
Veronica then decided that saying this was a personal affront and proceded to post self-refuting articles showing that indeed this was true.
The fact that you and others have given my statement great attention and have pretended it wasn't true, is to your own discredit. All socialist nations generally practice the disarmament of their subjects or restrict ownership such that any resistence to the government would be futile.
Israeli's civilians don't have a hard time getting a hold of weapons but cannot keep them at home (according to the law) In this case, it proves to be an unfortunate policy. I think they would be wise to allow all citizens to carry and keep at home, any firearm of their chosing and in the case of those that are allowed, certainly not one handgun as the law provides today.
There were no sailors in the water. The Israelis did make mulitiple attack, both from the air and the surface, on the Liberty.
If you have something intelligent to say, then say it.
If you have a suggestion for Powell, then make it.
If you know a better way to mediate the situation, then state it.
But to use personal insulting talk as a way of making a point is juvinile at best and tacky at worst.
BTW, I do own some kneepads, and I know precisely where I'd like to stick them.
Give me a break. At least try a modicum of intellectual honesty.
Most of them are armed.
